The more dependable Kiper brother is back with more draft insight for this GML draft... while Peter Kiper is likely out boozing, you can always count on Randy Kiper to give you the most accurate mock draft! 1. Indianapolis Colts - Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford Considering the Colts already list Luck on their roster, Luck will be the face of the franchise in Indianapolis. 2. San Diego Chargers - Robert Griffin III, QB, Baylor The Chargers sent Rivers packing after a disappointing 2011 campaign and hope RG3 can bring them back into the playoffs. 3. San Francisco 49ers - Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU After losing Carlos Rogers in free agency, the 49ers will select the best cornerback in the draft in Claiborne. 4. Denver Broncos - Justin Blackmon, WR, Oklahoma State The Broncos were shocked to see their man in Claiborne get selected at #3, so they settle on the best wide receiver in the draft. 5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Luke Kuechly, LB, Boston College The Buccaneers need some help at linebacker and rumor has it that their GM is extemely highly on Kuechly after his impressive combine performance. 6. Houston Texans - Matt Kalil, OT, USC The Texans could go a variety of ways but decide to go BPA and bolster their offensive line with Matt Kalil. 7. Philadelphia Eagles - Dontari Poe, DT, Memphis The Eagles really need someone to throw at nose tackle in their 4-3 next to Nick Fairley, Poe seems like the perfect fit. 8. Miami Dolphins - Ryan Tannehill, QB, Texas A&M The Dolphins were praying Tannehill fell and luckily the 49ers GM hates him. Moore will start in 2012 and hand the reigns over to Tannehill in 2013. 9. Carolina Panthers - Michael Brockers, DT, LSU The Panthers will likely go best player available and they feel that Brockers is just that. Brockers will provide some more force in the middle on defense. 10. St. Louis Rams - Michael Floyd, WR, Notre Dame If the Rams want to give Sam Bradford a chance, he's going to need more than Ted Ginn Jr. Floyd should provide an instant impact across from Brandon Lloyd. 11. Kansas City Chiefs - Riley Reiff, OT, Iowa The Chiefs lost a mediocre right tackle in Barry Richardson, Reiff will be an instant improvement. 12. Seattle Seahawks - Quinton Coples, DE, North Carolina The Seahawks are all about getting the best player and Coples is a steal at #12 overall. 13. Arizona Cardinals - Fletcher Cox, DT, Mississippi State The Cardinals lost Calais Campbell in free agency but they look to replace him with Fletcher Cox. 14. Dallas Cowboys - David DeCastro, OG, Stanford The Cowboys could use another interior lineman and they will select the best guard in the draft. 15. Detroit Lions - Dre Kirkpatrick, CB, Alabama After losing Eric Wright in free agency, the Lions will look to bring in a playmaker in the secondary. 16. Atlanta Falcons - Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor The Atlanta Falcons traded away Julio Jones but will replace his speed with Kendall Wright. 17. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Mark Barron, S, Alabama The Buccaneers don't have much at safety and Mark Barron is by far the best safety in the draft this year. 18. Baltimore Ravens - Courtney Upshaw, OLB, Alabama The Ravens lost Jarrett Johnson to free agency but will look to bolster their pass rush with Courtney Upshaw at the outside linebacker position. 19. Chicago Bears - Melvin Ingram, DE, South Carolina The Chicago Bears see a steal in Melvin Ingram and will hope that he wrecks havoc across from Julius Peppers. I could see them trading up as well for a wide receiver. 20. Tennessee Titans - Janaris Jenkins, CB, North Alabama The Titans lost a lot in free agency and will hope that Jenkins can replace the void left by Cortland Finnegan. 21. Cincinnati Bengals - Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama The mighty Trent Richardson falls to the Bengals, it's a testament to how much teams value the running back position nowadays. 22. Arizona Cardinals - Jonathan Martin, OT, Stanford The Cardinals released Levi Brown and now need a left tackle. Jonathan Martin will protect the blindside of Kolb for a while. 23. Minnesota Vikings - Mike Adams, OT, Ohio State The Vikings are a little shell-shocked that Martin was just selected so they settle on Mike Adams, who is an inconsistent but talented offensive tackle. 24. Pittsburgh Steelers - Nick Perry, OLB, USC The Steelers are estactic that superfreak Nick Perry falls to him, they'll be chanting "James Harrision who?" very shortly. 25. Cleveland Browns - Cordy Glenn, OG, Georgia The Browns offensive line is pretty pathetic and if they want Tim Tebow to survive this season, he'll need some help. 26. Oakland Raiders - Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech The Oakland Raiders will be needing a bottle of lotion and a box of Kleenex after drafting this workout warrior at wide receiver. 27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Whitney Mercilus, DE, Illinois The Buccaneers sent Adrian Clayborn packing and will hope to get similar production from another Big Ten stand-out. 28. Minnesota Vikings - Rueben Randle, WR, LSU The Vikings need someone at receiver other than Percy Harvin, Randle is a big target for Ponder to throw to. 29. Baltimore Ravens - Devon Still, DT, Penn State The Ravens will try their best to replace Haloti Ngata with Devon Still. At the very least they are getting excellent value here. 30. New York Jets - Dont'a Hightower, LB, Alabama The Jets sent David Harris packing and gave Bart Scott his pink slip, Hightower will look take on the role of the thumper in their 3-4 defense. 31. Cincinnati Bengals - Alshon Jeffrey, WR, South Carolina The Bengals are all about the questionable characters and they'll pick up Alshon Jeffrey who should benefit from playing with AJ Green. 32. New York Jets - Kevin Zeitler, OG, Wisconsin The Jets interior line is pretty unspectacular other than Nick Mangold, they'll look to bring in the blue-collar guard from Wisconsin.
Interesting you have me penciled for Perry when I have Woodley and Brooks Reed at OLB. Tell me, what made you come to that conclusion?
I heard the Tampa GM liked Kuechly way before the combine Pretty good effort though Griddles. If that really does happen I gather I'd have quite a few trade down options for a certain stud offensive lineman. Who's next? I love reading these things.
I didn't see many holes on your roster... the other player I was looking into was Zach Brown to play WILB.
Pretty sure I wont be drafting a WR not named Blackmon that early. I dont need the Atlanta Falcons of last years WR core, my Wrs compliment eachother well and frankly i may never pass considering my OL are some bad mama jamas.
I have some good backups, my team is nearly finished. Thanks for trying though. Looking at ur backs injury history ill be expecting a pm for a trade offer.
