    2012 GM LEAGUE DRAFT RULES

    1. The draft will begin on Sunday, March 18th at 11:00 AM Eastern Time.

    2. Each team will receive a one hour time slot to make their selection when they are on the clock. It is their choice to use up that time or to make their selection right away.

    3. We will be shutting down the draft from 11:00 PM EST to 11:00AM EST that way members don't need to make their picks early into the morning. If a GM wishes to make his pick when he's on the clock while the draft is closed, he may do so. The formula will just repeat itself for the next GM on the clock, but the timeslots will not change.

    4. You may leave a draft bulletin to any of the Draft Committee Members or the GM League Moderators if your selection is coming up and you're not sure if you'll be around during your pick. Below is an example of a draft bulletin:

Team A Draft Bulletin at #XX Overall:
    1. Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford
    2. Robert Griffin III, QB, Baylor
    3. Justin Blackmon, WR, Oklahoma State
    4. Matt Kalil, OT, USC

    5. There will be two boards, an official draft thread and an unofficial draft thread. If you wish to talk and speculate about each teams picks, please do so in the unofficial draft thread. Official draft thread is for drafting players ONLY.

    6. If you fail to pick a player for your given time slot and don't give us a bulletin for us to go by, we will be forced to go BPA for your team.

    7. If you do not show up for the draft, as in if you don't leave a bulletin and make us pick for you (BPA), you will forfeit your draft selections if we must do this for TWO straight selections. For example:

Team A has a first round pick at #29 overall and a second round pick at #49 overall. If the Committee must choose their player for both selection, they will forfeit their remaining picks unless they contact Saint Greg or GridIronKing34 with a good reason for their absence.

    8. Please do not complain if the draft committee selects a player you didn't want if you failed to show up for your time slot OR didn't leave a bulletin. You've been warned.

    9. You do not have to sign your draft picks but you must have enough room to sign all your draft picks. The salaries for rookies are the following:

    First round selections:
    #1 - #5 pick: $950,000
    #6 - #10 Pick: $900,000
    #11 - #20 Pick: $850,000
    #21 - #32 Pick: $800,000

    Other round selections:
    2nd round: $550,000
    3rd round: $450,000
    4th-7th round: $350,000

    10. The draft committee is a group of individuals who will monitor the draft with the GM League Moderators. The draft committee is a group of veteran GMs who have demonstrated good organization skills and who have knowledge about the upcoming NFL draft. This years draft committee is the following:

    GM League Draft Committee
    1. Stitches
    2. alen1
    3. Machiavelli (Moderator)
    4. Saint Greg (Moderator)
    5. GridIronKing34 (Moderator)

    11. Make this years draft enjoyable. Please do your best to show up for your draft times, which means check the draft time-slots (located below) to see when your pick comes up. If you notice that your selection is comes up soon, please send a bulletin in case you cannot make your draft selection. Set each time that you'll be on the clock in your phone's calendar or something... the less picks the committee has to make, the better.

If you have any questions, go ahead and reply here.

    DRAFT SCHEDULE
Keep in mind that this schedule does not include the compensatory picks. I will include them tomorrow night. Also if you have any disputes about picks you may or may not own, please contact me. If you have a pick that is 2-3 selections higher or lower than you thought, don't contact me. I am 99.9% sure that this draft order is correct and up to date but if you have any issues... let me know.

This time is when you go on the clock so starting at 11:00AM EST on March 18th, the Indianapolis Colts have one hour to make their selection. If they do not make their selection in the designated hour... the next team is free to jump them. Try to wait 10-15 minutes to let the committee make a BPA selection for the overdue draft pick though if possible out of courtesy.
