Assassin's Creed 3: George Washington kills redcoats by the bucketload! Oh and there's some dude in a hood, whatever.
I couldn't care less. Never played one of them. I take it you aren't impressed? I wouldn't be either. You go from medieval Europe to the civil war. Not exactly an interesting change. But, I have a feeling they won't disappoint. Apparently every game in the franchise was better than the one prior.
You misinterpret me. I wanted the French Revolution but I'm greatly looking forward to this. Never played an Assassin's Creed game? You're missing out. Play AC2, then AC Brotherhood, immediately.
AC3 will be "back to basics" I wouldn't say AC2/B/R were unclear, because they were always about a guy and his family versus another guy and his family. One could avoid the backstory and lore entirely—the Subject 16 puzzles, for instance—and just play through a story about a guy on the most epic revenge quest (not) in history. And since AC3 is just set at the time of the American Revolution, rather than actually about the American Revolution, it'll probably be the same as AC2: a guy doing something because he feels compelled to do it.
Some new screens for you guys. and more here; http://www.gametrailers.com/side-mi...ins-creed-iii-screens-for-your-consideration/
Easily my favorite game series at the moment. While it feels rehashed a little bit they always find a way to bring something new to series which I really like.
Sorry should of specified I meant by Revelations I was ready for a new era, as the Ezio story I loved and that's why its my favorite series, I just meant by revelations that It was kinda the same with tower defense, and while fun I was ready for 3 a new era and new changes.
Brotherhood and Revelations were made by different teams around the world, not the same team that did AC2. So I think we'll get something that at the least is pretty new, just as AC2 was new.
I swear to god all of this better come to the US: Remember that drawing of the mayan pyramid in the first game? "Give us your money and you'll get to see it" - Ubisoft
I'll probably get the Freedom Edition, whats weird is that they havent announced it for the US yet. Oh well, all of the pre-order DLC eventually gets bundled and released later.
So I was browsing the AC wiki and I saw this: I know its just concept art but damn using the "shock blade" as Desmond would be damn cool.
I cant wait for this game to come out. Its my favorite series out of everything I play on ps3 or xbox 360.
It was concept art of Connor sitting on his horse. THis should work though "Predator" indeed.
Pre-alpha means early in development, or too rudimentary to be considered reflective of the final product. Alpha means the core material is present and enabled within the game. Beta means feature complete but not debugged or polished. The game's been in development for 3 years. At this point it could probably go gold. They're just applying polish and bug testing now.
Not sure if you guys have seen this, but it may interest you.
That's actually pretty old; they released Lineage in parts as a way to help market the then-upcoming Assassin's Creed 2. It's a prequel and a marketing scheme mixed together, very slick. I'm not sure they'll do live action again, though I think there should be an AC movie.
Ubisoft wants more money. The Encyclopedia is pretty interesting to me. I might splurge just for that alone.
Ehh thats what the AC wiki is for. However I do like the concept art and making of stuff they usually include in material like that.
The AC Wiki isn't completely comprehensive. For example, if you go to Desmond's page, they have an image from the encyclopedia of his genealogy. Problem is, it's so incredibly low res that it's unreadable and therefore useless, and there is no accompanying text that transcribes the contents of the scan.
Well it looks like we know what the AC game for the Vita is about I wonder if Connor and this chick will cross paths at one point
I doubt there'll be a crossover, but we'll see. I'm disappointed that Ubisoft is still ignoring the obvious setting of Revolutionary France, though.
This AC is about the American Revolution right? If so, the French Revolution happens after, so they could still do it.
I think AC4 could very well take place during the French Revolution, we probably wouldnt see that game for a while though. Plus New Orleans was pretty french at the time so there you go Des.
Yes, specifically 1753-83. And while it's possible they could go right after, will it really make any narrative sense to do so? Desmond's story wraps up with AC3, so why would they stick him back in the Animus when there's no longer any need? No guillotine, no peace.
I took the 30th and 31st off from work to play this. Now I'm wondering if I should just take the whole week off...
