I suggested Misi for MLB or ILB several times before. Right after we drafted him I said he reminded me of Tedy Bruschi. I've gotten no agreement from anyone here. So if this is something that happens, it will be a little gratifying to me.

IIRC, Dansby has played both inside and outside in a 4-3 defense at one point ?? Could they be looking to move those guys around ?? I don't know...it's just a guess. I think Misi will do fine inside and one thing that Coyle has done in the past is put his guys in good positions to make plays...The question is would this mean something to Dansby and Burnett ??

Omar has had an infatuation with Misi inside for a while now. I have a feeling the conversation went like this:

Omar: So Jeff, J-Bo, IRISH how are you?

Ireland: How...how the hell did you get in my office?

Omar: Relax, I'm Omar Kelly, famous reporter for the Sun Sentinel. I'm sure you've heard of me.

    Ireland: I can't say that I have.

Omar: Haha! Good one. Gonna write that down to post on Twitter later. So anyway J-Dog, rumblings around SoFla are that Koa Misi is gonna get moved to ILB.

Ireland: Where'd you hear....wait, why are you still here? How'd you get past security?

Omar: Jeesh, and I thought I was supposed to ask the questions. But anyway, right here on this blog, a famous Miami sports writer speculates that you're gonna move Misi inside.

    *Shows Ireland iPad*

Ireland: But...but this is just an article you wrote. The date says today...did you already write an article about breaking in my office today?

Omar: Again, I'm the reporter here.

Ireland: What even gave you the idea that Misi will be playing inside...*notices Omar scribbling*....wait, what are you writing?

Omar: Just quoting where you just said Misi will be playing inside.

Ireland: What?!! I just repeated that I saw in your article where you said Misi will be playing inside!

Omar: Aha! So you say you see Misi playing inside.

Ireland: WHAT?!?! I was just...wait, what are you doing?

Omar: Just uploading my piece on Jeff Ireland hinting that Misi will be playing ILB.

Ireland: But I never said that.

Omar: Well, you should take it up with the Sun Sentinel because they recently posted an article that quotes you as saying you can see Misi playing inside.

    Ireland: AAEHRHRHRHREHHYHDYIGFG!

Omar: Well, I'm gonna bounce. You should get that anger issue checked out though. You know what they say dawg; Psalms 37:8 Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. Deuces!

I think most likely he's going to end up sticking as a SOLB in either a 4-3 or 3-4. Given what teams have been doing with guys in that build/skillset, I think it's a good chance he'd be quite good as a 4-3 SOLB. If they're going to play multiple fronts he's the most logical bet as a flex guy. The "inside" stuff is probably Kelly editorializing because well he's Omar Kelly and he has rather grand ideas about himself and his understanding of football.

In a 3-4, ya. But in a 43, put him at the Sam...

I think this is spot on.

I think Coyle also already said he thought Dansby would play the Mike during his interview with the Finsiders a few weeks back.

Wasn't it Kelly who once thought a 3 technique meant the player had to control 3 gaps along the defensive front? If it was, well the rest is up to you.............

It's now being reported on NFLN, on the bottom ticker, the Misi will play ILB for the 2012 season.

That's almost certainly this story being re-reported. It's not even a given we have an ILB position in 2012 from what we know.

I don't see Misi as an impact middle LB. He is very ordinary and the sooner they upgrade the Linebacker position and get rid of Misi as a starter on the defense, the better.
