I just got back from the game and have to give some major props to Sparano and the rest of the team for really playing with dedications and sense of purpose after a horrendous 0-7 start. We all know Tony is a goner at the end of the season, but he has redeemed himself in my eyes... I'm not defending the coach, but I am going to give him credit for keeping this team motivated. - Props to Brandon Marshall for coming up HUGE again. This guy is a stud. He made every catch thrown his way and is a true LEADER and franchise WR. I was as hard on BMarsh as anyone here and was 100% wrong. I am so proud of what he has overcome and love the leadership he displays on the field. He wants to win. He wants to compete. He wants to be the best. Put a good QB on this team and Brandon Marshall will be a superstar. The guy was jacked up today on the field. I was watching him on the sidelines and as we would break the huddle and saw determination in his eyes. - Props to Dansby. Awesome INT. Awesome sack. Awesome open field tackling. This guy was everywhere. Like Marshall, he came up big when needed and was playing like we were 7-1 in the hunt for the postseason. Props to the other veterans on this team. JT played with fire and had a major sack. YBell was all over the field. When the leaders of the this team come to play when the team is 1-7, then I have to give Sparano credit as well. I was very proud of the fact that we played with passion and energy today.. Even though the stadium was 75% full, the fans fed off this energy and left the game pumped up for next week.. Let's build on this week and continue to make the Bills regret the stupid, large contract given to Fitzpatrick.. Better yet, let's destroy their playoff hopes
You know, the more I see the highlight of the Marshall catch and run up the middle, the more it boggles my mind how Marshall didn't just take the shortest route to the endzone.
Yeah he left a TD on the field there and on the flea flicker early in the game. You have to get that football. Two more TD's lost by Brandon Marshall.
The defense has been playing much better too as the season has gone on. No touchdowns allowed in 2 straight games. Having Vontae Davis back was huge as well. Played a very solid game in his return. That interception was just what the defense needed.
I gotta say KP... your posts on this topic are pretty frustrating. B/c on any other topic, you are a very objective and reasonable poster. But this one topic gets you so twisted. I mean, the ball got swatted before it got to Marshall b/c Hall was underneath him b/c Marshall got behind him but the ball was underthrown. But we should chalk this one up to a TD lost by Marshall?
It's just too bad it took them until now to play this well. With a better start the division would not be out of reach but sadly now it is.
I was very impressed by the crowd for a team that is in such dissaray, 1 and 12 in their last 13 and we just keep coming...good for them..
It's not just the last two games though. The defense has been better since the bye week. Even the Jets and Giants games the defense played well for the most part. Much more improved from the first few weeks of the season.
We are still short on talent at: QB, TE, RT, #2 WR, SOLB, SS, but we DO have some talent on this team. Let's just hope Ireland, Sparano, Nolan and Daboll all don't fall back asleep like they were before the KC game.
