My buddies and I started a QB Fantasy league about six years ago. QB's only and major points for bigger achievements. So, going over 400 yards gets you an extra 10 points, longer completions are more points, etc. Here is how this week broke down for the league leaders: 1. Tom Brady - 91 Points 2. Chad Henne - 83 Points 3. Cam Newton - 76 4. Drew Brees - 75 5. Aaron Rodgers - 58 This point system was created by myself, Zac Robinson (former Oklahoma State QB) and Dez Bryant (no intro needed) during my time as a student-athlete at Oklahoma State. So I think the points are pretty accurate to determine the QB's performance. Great game by Henne.
He racked up almost 40 in my vanilla league...I started big ben instead, who only got 10 or so points. I lost by about 25... Was really kicking myself. Especially because somewhere in my gut I knew henne was going to have a good game, and Pit would struggle against Bal. Hopefully it keeps up =D
He was also 2nd leading point getter in my league at 75. Tom Brady had 94. We use ranges - 0 - 100 yards = 1 point / 20 yards 100-200 yards = 2 points / 20 yards 200-300 yards = 3 points / 20 yards; etc. So by the time Tammy got up into the 500s he was basically getting a TD worth of points for every 20 yards passing. Anyway, we drafted Henne in round 18 of a keeper league so needless to say, for both my fandom and fantasy team, I hope he keeps it up!
Holy **** the scoring in your leagues are whack. He got 41 points in one of my leagues and 34 in the other.
What's whack about it? Just because it's different? WRs and RBs also have ranges. It's just higher scoring, and you're rewarded more for a player having a phenomenal game.
