NOT a ppr league, but bonus points are a-plenty. QB- Phillip Rivers, Matt Cassel RB-MJD, Matt Forte, A. Bradshaw, Daniel Thomas, M. Tolbert WR-Miles Austin, Kenny Britt, Mike Williams(TB), Sidney Rice, Jordy Nelson, D. Amendola TE- Zach Miller DEF- Bears K- D. Carpenter Wish I had one more stud WR but couldnt land him.
Mine's just a basic Yahoo! league, and I am looking to switch it up a little before the season starts...QB- Michael Vick, Drew BreesRB- Peyton Hillis, LeGarrette BlountWR- Percy Harvin, Kenny Britt (whom I always seem to get :-p )TE- Vernon DavisFlex- Mike Sims Walker, Knowshon MorenoK- Sebastian JanikowskiDefense- New OrleansBench (all can be used in flex positions if needed)- Reggie Bush (!!!) (RB), Jerome Simpson (WR), Roy Helu (RB), Greg Olsen (TE), Robbie Gould (K), Oakland (Defense)Obviously, in the prevailing couple weeks, I will be dropping Simpson (he's looking like he isn't going to make the Bengals, so everyone's dropping him) and possibly Helu if he winds up being mired in Shanahan's depth chart.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
10 team...Im worried about Austin though, wanted Bush bad but someone drafted him in like the 3rd round. Little worried my RBs arent exactly goalline backs, who knows though. Cant say im super confident with my team.
Vick went #1 overall in my league, followed by Rodgers, AP, Manning, C.Johnson, Arian Foster, R.Rice, J. Charles, Rivers, Andre Johnson. Normally I hate picking in the middle of the pack but I wouldve LOVED to get Arian Foster at #6 overall.
I think you reached for a QB, personally. I think your team is deep enough and you should be fine, but here's what I think: Philip Rivers is a great QB, I think he's going to have a big year (#3 behind Brady and Brees) MJD is very undervalued so that's a good pick-up. I really like him in rounds 2/3. Forte is a solid #2 RB, but not ideal. He's going to lose touches to Barber so he's less valuable and the Bears offense line isn't looking good so far. Ahmad Bradshaw, Daniel Thomas, and Mike Tolbert are risky picks, but one of them should pan out. Miles Austin is a good WR, I have him at #7 on my WR board. I actually like Mike Williams more than Kenny Britt, but both should put together good years (800+ yards, 8 TDs) Sidney Rice is a risky pick simply because of quarterback (and line) play in Seattle, but hopefully chemistry with T-Jax helps his stats. The other two WRs are nothing to write home about, in my opinion. Zach Miller is a good player, but I worry about his numbers being down because of T-Jax and the offense line. Your kicker and defense are fine, no complaints there.
we have alot of Similarities.. I drafted this last night in my money league: QB: Rivers, Freeman RB: Bradshaw, Best, Tolbert WR: Roddy White, Marshall, S. Holmes, Sims-Walker, L. Moore TE: Winslow, Watson D/ST: Cowboys, Chiefs K: Crosby
Our league is very QB driven with bonus points being handed out for TD passes 30 yards or more and 300-400 yard bonuses aswell. I agree though, I feel like I pick Andre johnson then MJD then Miles Austin then an underatted QB like Eli or Kolb a bit later I may be better off. 3 of the first 4 picks in our league were QB's and i always look ahead to playoff time schedule and SD has some real nice matchups. Not super happy with my team, really wish I wouldve traded with the dude picking 6th and got Arian Foster.
Aside from Jahvid Best your running back situation is an abortion. Seriously, screw it and just start over. Bradshaw lost touches towards the end of last year to Jacobs and ownership/front office said they want Jacobs to be used a lot more. Tolbert will probably see more time as a 3rd down back then Ryan Mathews because hes better in blitz pickup. Mathews may get more snaps on earlier downs then one wants him to. Fin-O...I like your QB obviously and your starting RB's are fine. You need a quality backup though...as I mentioned I have concerns about all 3 of your reserves. I like your WR's more then most. Mike Williams was the best rookie WR this year and could take the leap up from double digit TD catches last year. Amendola is a PPR god but also sees time on returns. I share the concerns about Rice but he will be your 3rd wr.
