As we head into the final voting and all of its glory, I'd like to congratulate my fellow competitors on another outstanding year. This was a very strong group of GM's this year and they are each deserving in their own right, even Gish and the Titans.

On a more lighthearted note... let me go into detail as to why I feel my Patriots are better than UCF FINatic's Eagles and UCFFinfan86's Falcons. First of all, that was hard for me to type... UCF and then their name... can't they just come up with an easier user ID... Like... Fred... Bob... or... Paul...? It's easier to type... remember that when you vote.

Secondly, the Eagles have one Mike Vick as their "star" quarterback. We all know he's one doggy body bag away from life in prison. Would the naked girls of PETA approve of you voting for him?

Thirdly, the Falcons have Ben Rape'emfurther as their "star" quarterback. We all know he's one forced doggy style away from a week in jail. Would the naked girls of PETA approve of you voting for him?

Lastly, don't let your hatred of Tom Brady (as a fanatical Dolfan that you are) blind you from the truth. He is a damn good looking man and comes home at night to his lovely wife, Giselle. Are you going to not look at the following picture with envy?

Don't let jealousy blind you from the truth. Good luck.... and happy voting.

I really wanted to vote the Pats in a few instances, but they just ended up being 2nd or 3rd in many categories for me.

That's hardly something to be down about, but the fact that you need to lobby only reaffirms my opinions. :tongue2:

You know we’re only in the nomination process, right? :shifty: If your first choice was nominated and you really like the second, might as well nominate them just to get the team some recognition.

I’m nominated in like six categories, and I know I’m losing them all.

Seriously, a duplicated nomination means someone else gets overlooked, and I definitely think that’s happened. Not naming teams or groups. And I did try to nominate teams who I felt would be overlooked otherwise.

Ya well Eli wasnt throwing to Wayne, Nicks, Randy Moss, Cotchery, Tony Gonzalez, Ben Watson while being supported in the backfield by Bush, Williams, and Beanie. And a OL that legitimately goes two deep at almost every position with quality vets and young players.

To be honest Id put my team up against anyone here. Eli wont have 17 passes bounce off receivers hands for INT's with this group.

It's not like the players are doing anything right now... we'll start a petition and force all NFL players to join their new teams.

I'm honestly more interested in who the bottom 5 teams end up being than the top 5. However, with not everyone submitting rosters, I'm not sure how easy it will be to work this.

Titans are certainly in the conversation...I'm not sure u need a good defense with that offense. I don't know who I'm voting for yet, I need to go back and see who was in cap hell, who had limited draft picks, who elevated their team the most without a lot of ammo to begin with. This will be a close close race imo.

I guess there are a lot of teams that did better jobs than us... Kind of frustrating. I don't want to complain but idk how I can win number 1 and 2 in both the up and coming category and the built for now category and not place in GM of the year. I probably should have just bitten my tongue, but its frustrating.

I shall not complain until the voting has concluded  I feel your pain though. I remember last year during The Phins Survivor competition. It was me and GIK in the final two. Now, I was the more outspoken of the two of us (can you believe it?) and so naturally that rubs people the wrong way. THe other tribe for example had to choose between the lesser of two evils, though, because GIK had turned on a lot of his "friends"... while I didn't really know anyone on that team outside the message board. It's difficult playing for votes. And so I don't seriously go after the votes. I have fun, doing what I do, and if that pisses people off to the point where they won't vote for me, then so be it. But I did see you voted for in the up and coming category as well as the built to win now category. Eh... take it as a compliment.

Me neither, I thought that just meant that I had a good mix of young and old. I built my team so that in future years I could use FA and the draft to help out the older positions, but I have a really good mix I thought. I could care less about those categories to be honest though, its just eating me alive though that I'm not doing as well as I thought in the GM of the year voting though, that was the one and only goal I set my sights on.

Yeah, but his team is in a "win now" mode. IMO on the rise means they will be great in a year or two. His team already is great.

And I was more so pointing to the fact that, I was voted as being built for both now and in the future and that I wasn't voted for GM of the year. I feel a "GM of the year" would have set his team up for both now and the future. Sorry I'm venting... I just take things really personal especially when I work my *** of on them.

This GM of the year award couldve went a number of directions....in the end Im satisfied with who I voted for although 4 other teams couldve won easily in years past imo. (Except LAST year ofcourse)
