How do I take a look at Rick Gosselin's mocks?

Seems in the past I've always been able to take a look at Dallas Morning News online and see them, but this year doesn't look like it's possible without buying a subscription to the Dallas Morning News. I'd be happy to pay a few bucks just to see online content for a month, but doesn't look like that's possible this year.

Am I just doing it wrong? Anyone have any ideas of where I can go to see his mocks? Thanks in advance!

Like I said, I have no problem paying some cash for the online content for a month or two, but I don't feel like committing to receiving a paper I'd never read just to see his draft picks. Is there a way to do that? It didn't seem like it. Anyway thanks for providing me the picks, Jim. Kinda bummed Gosselin things we're picking Ingram. I hope that changes.

Remember though, Gosselin's last mock is one of the best, but his early mocks aren't any more accurate than most.

True. How do you guys look at his mocks? Are you actually subscribers to the Dallas Morning news?

Also, if someone could post the picks in this thread like Jim did when he posts up his final draft I would be much indebted.

I know that his FINAL mock always gets a lot of publicity on the internet because of his history as an accurate mocker.

Can anybody post the picks up from Gosselin's latest Mock? Or at least who he has Miami taking?

Don’t stress too much about Gosselin’s mocks. One, his final mock always gets posted online somewhere, and two, “accurate” is a relative term when it comes to mock drafting.

It's purely curiosity. I want to see how it changes from mock to mock up until the final, at least who he has the Dolphins picking.

Gosselin was NFL Network tonight and was saying that he had Mallett as the 5th QB in this draft. Knowing that Gosselin is mostly parroting what his excellent NFL contacts tell him, that could indicate that many NFL teams are less high on Mallett than most here.

Is it a Jimmy Clausen repeat? (although some thought Clausen would go top 6)

I'd put Colt McCoy against most of these guys spoken about in the 1st round.

Agreed. The QBs in this draft are being so over rated it isn't even funny.

Gosselin’s final mock doesn’t come out until the day of the draft, IIRC.

Wow, 5 QB's in the top 12 picks? Has he lost his marbles or are his "sources" feeding him BS this year?

I'm still not buying Pouncey at #15. Though I think he had us with Ryan Matthews at #12 last year (which was the right selection at that pick, but the wrong team).

I think the reasoning is sound. A downtrade would obviously change things quite a bit, but if they have to stay put, my money would be on Pouncey, too. With only one selection in the top 75 and under pressure to win, it makes sense to get a player at a glaring need position whom you can safely pencil in as a day 1 starter. I seriously doubt that they'll go QB unless they can trade down.

I'm thinking not QB more and more over the past two days, and I agree the reasoning is sound (it's similar reasoning as to why I think Rudolph is in play). I just have a hard time seeing them select an interior OL that high (an interior OL who can't play T too at least), even moreso than Ingram.

Whatever though, so long as it isn't Dalton or Kaepernick. I'd rather freaking JJ Watt or Cameron Jordan than either of those two.

You're preaching to the choir, mate. I have absolutely no clue why everyone has Pouncey ranked ahead of Watkins. None. Not only is Watkins the better player, he's also a lot more versatile, too.

Rudolph would seriously surprise me. I'd be baffled if they came away from the first two rounds with only a TE to show for it. I'm not a huge fan of Fasano, but the upgrade Rudolph would provide is significantly less than the one provided by either Pouncey or Watkins.

I still don't get the Carimi argument, by the way. Maybe Con can enlighten me ...

I shall be elated if we pick up Watt or Jordan. And I shall probably be the only one :D

1- I love Watt and Jordan, just DL is not in any way a need IMO.

2 - I'm not saying Rudolph would be a big upgrade over Fasano, just that it would significantly upgrade our TE position overall. I think we will continue to see the 2-TE set a lot, so to me it makes sens to get another guy who can block fairly well and go out and work the seam. I think Rudolph is a pretty safe selection (much like Pouncey).

I could see both play OLB, but that's another story for another thread. I'm just not a fan of need drafting. Sure, if the grade difference is small/marginal, go ahead and draft the need. But Watt or Jordan would be miles ahead of Pouncey on my board. Miles. And when faced with such a dilemma (namely that no player on a need position would be anywhere close to being #1 on my board), I'd simply draft the best guy.

I think it is about finding the balance between the talent on the board and your own needs. I mean, bottom line is you HAVE to fill your needs or you will get taken advantage of. But you definitely need to balance it - just cause we need a fast WR doesn't mean we should take Torrey Smith at 15 imo.

But at the same time, you can only add to one position so much before the lack of talent coming into other spots hurts you. We spent decent money on Starks, we spent a 2 on Merling, a 3 on Langford, we may pay up for McDaniel, and we just spend a first on Oddrick. That is a lot of effort on one position - at some point you need to say "ok, we are good there, let's check something else."

Rather than starting a new thread for the same question I had last year, I figured I would just bump this thread. Has Gosselin released any mocks yet, and if so does anyone have access and mind sharing?

    Thanks in advance!
