Not me. It may not be the sexy pick, but it would make a lot of sense. Especially if he's anything like his brother. Having said that, I'd much rather trade down a few spots (as many as ten if necessary), and still get Pouncey. That to me would be the proverbial win/win scenario.

    JMHO.

I wouldn't be happy with the Pats getting Ingram, but I have no problem with the Pouncy pick.

Just because (if) we pick Pouncey in the first, it doesn't mean we don't get other positions (i.e., RB, TE, QB, etc.) later in the draft.

What if we got Pouncey in the first (after trading down a few spots), Ryan Williams in the second (that we recouped after trading down), and DJ Williams in the third? Would you be down with that?

Yes but thats alot of hypotheticals. I would be thrilled with that honestly

I am just saying, for the sake of, #15, no trading, id be disapointed with a guard. With as many issues as we have.

One of those many issues is guard.

Guard is easier to replace than a quarterback or RB.

I wouldn't say that. I would agree on easier to replace than QB but RB? No IMO.

We suck or are average at so many different positions. It makes no sense to draft a guard with the #15 overall pick.

I agree with Alen. I think RB is much easier to replace.

You think its easier to find a pulling guard than a running back?

I think you cant just sign some joe-schmoe of the street to play running back as long as you have a good guard. I do however think if you have ronnie brown/ricky williams you can get away with having a guard like berger or a less than average guard and still have success

I don't see it. He may be a late 1st guy (I'd take him there), but no way he lasts past the 2nd in my opinion.

at this point I'm just hoping for an immediate improvement to the offense, so I'd be ok with Pouncey. If he helps us pick up 3-5 yards on first down with a few long plays sprinkled in, then he's worth it IMO.

I can see where you're coming from. I respect your opinion, I don't necessarily agree with it though. I think if you're talking about a phonebooth Guard, then I could see that but a pulling Guard is different to me personally.

IMO if we stand pat at 15, we won't take a guard there. We will take an impact player, QB, pass rusher, RB perhaps. If we trade down into the 20s then I can see us taking a guard there. If Pouncey is still available, take him, if not Watkins may well be, and for all we know he could end up being the better player down the road. After a trade down, we may still see Ingram available and could take him in the mid 20s and if he isn't there, we could take LeShoure and follow up with a QB and OL in the next two rounds. We could trade down to the 20s, take a QB like CKap, then follow up with an interior OL like Wis or Hudson in the 2nd and a RB like Rodgers in the 3rd. Their interest in eventually resigning Brown or Williams will be shown by whether or not we draft two RBs IMO.

That said, IMO, it is going to be harder to trade in the draft this year when teams cannot include players and may be reluctant to trade for picks in future years.

Love, love, love Watkins. One of my favorite players, if not my favorite, in the Draft.

As usual Alen we seem to agree. My short list of favorite players goes like this: Danny Watkins, Stefen Wisniewski, Jacquizz Rodgers, Casey Matthews. If in some particular order they were 4 of our picks, I would be giddy as a school girl at the sign of first blossoming.

That's pretty giddy, but that's not as giddy as the school boy who's giddy at the sight of the school girls who's showing signs of first blossoming. just sayin..... to clarify your level if giddiness. lol.

PS: I'd be very happy if we landed Watkins and Quizz. For one because it means we traded back, and 2...... just because I like those guys.
