Agree on a deal with him in FA (fans get in the seats like crazy), trade down from the 13-14th to the late first way before the draft and then send two probable late 1sts on the franchise tag to Manning?
He looks pretty frustrated. Montana did go to K.C. late in his career. Favre left G.B. McNabb left Philly. Bunch of examples.
A quick fix now, He may or may not win, then retires. then we wind up right back where we started when Marino retired. No thanks.
we'll have a franchise QB under center next year. this draft should have several just waiting to be picked. who knows, maybe free agency will yield something? Philadelphia has two excellent QB's & probably won't keep both. future's not so dim as it appears now. our defense is excellent. need a QB, Center, PullingGuard, RB & a Return specialist, not so bad
Why o why does this franchise have the QB but not the RB/DEF or vice versa? Why o why.... If there was a chance at getting him, I'd be for it. I think are chances are at about 2%, and that seems optimistic.
Yeah. Why would he leave and why would they let him. He Is the town and the team Sent from my DROID using Tapatalk
Yeah no way we could draft a QB to take over after he retires. Say no to a hall of famer b/c he's in his 30s. We're right where we were then anyway.
Ya but with Manning, you have a good three-four shots at a title. Manning on this team, beats Brady on the Pats, Sanchez on the Jets, Flacco on the Ravens, and the Steelers. Celtics sold their soul for a title. They're not regretting it. I mean you're basically wagering what Marino in say 1994-1995 would have done (probably even better considering Manning knock on wood hasn't had that miserable set of injury seasons in the early 90s. I mean in the 1990s we were begging to have Marino plus a good defense, plus a running game. You get a chance at that I don't know...
got to know what is broken before you can fix it & now we know what is broken. the fix is out there somewhere 2011 will be a better year. there's a lot of good things to build on
McNabb didn't leave Philly--he was traded. Favre didn't leave Green Bay--he was forced to "retire" Montana didn't leave San Francisco--he forced out for Steve Young Not one of those 3 left on their own accord, or left "on their terms". I think the bigger possibility--as much as people hate it is bringing in Mike Vick. Heck, I don't like it either but I know we have owner that "loves to make splashes".
Yeah, because the Colts are almost going to let Manning get away. Wow, I know we lost and we're out of the playoffs, but its gotten this bad? As sweet as it would be... it'll never happen.
Yeah, well say we get Manning. Some here would throw Manning under the bus the first time he threw a pick, and be calling for whoever the backup QB is, and saying how we were stupid for getting such an old QB when we should have drafted a younger one. No satisfying some of these people. I seriously wonder why some of these folks are Miami fans.
Well I mean we are talking about two first round picks for him, a much bigger endorsement market, a better team most importantly, and an owner who has to put fans in the seats somehow. I don't think you can do better than Manning really... I mean if it's Mankins for 9m a year compared to Manning at what would it be 15-17m a year?
I won't be able to get to it until later tonight. Im a little too bitter still to look at pictures anyways. That and I've got some steaks I've got to go BBQ. Steaks take priority.
There's about a 0.5% chance he'll leave the Colts. Dolphins should offer a ton of money regardless, at least make the effort.
A ton of money, the women of Miami, a key to the city, and secret information on alien life form AND he gets to make the decision of who the OC is. That might do it!
Start a thread about Manning coming to Miami and he starts looking terrible in his own game, at his own stadium! We're doomed forever until we have another starting quarterback with the first name Dan.
