I am so tired of hearing all of this negativity about the Fins; why can't you guys just accept that we're 2-0 and leading the division?

We might lose the next 14 straight games and end up the laughing stock of the NFL..wouldn't it be nice to enjoy our early success and think about the potential instead of the negative? Heck, if we win the next 14 games and march right through the playoffs does it really matter than Henning didn't call the play you expected him to every single time?

All I'm saying is we had a stretch of rough years while moving out of the Marino era, and for once I'm excited to log into the Phins.com and talk to others about possibilities. I honestly see our team going 11-5 and making waves throughout the postseason, but it seems like all anyone can talk about is what a dissapointment our UNDEFEATED team has been and how things should quickly change so we can become competitive.

If you're really a Fin fan or even a football fan at all, you know that every game is sixty minutes long and the only thing that really matters at the end of the year is your win-loss record. Miami will make some bad calls, Henne, Rickie, and Ronnie will make some enormous screw ups throughout the season, and the defense won't always play at the level that can win ballgames. As long as we keep adding W's with an occasional L here and there, I really don't see what all of the complaining is about.

While we all enjoy winning and 2-0 is great, people like to voice opinions and reading those is entertaining to me,even if I may not agree. Some are actually comical.

Keith, imo, I think this thread is uncalled for...I see noone but a few emotional fan's during the actual game overreact some, no biggie, what I do see are a lot of fan's articulately discecting the team's weaknesses and strength's regardless of the 2 and 0 record..I like that because we all should be trying to figure out the best way to buld the dynasty while keeping proper perspective to what we say..

To me your overreaction to a small minority only makes it worse to the perception.

You have to love the threads yelling at fans for being negative when very few fans are actually being negative.

I think the big problem is that too many posters want to be the coach, gm, owner, offensive and defensive coordinator, and the quarterback instead of just being a fan. And within that group of people you have some that, if every little thing doesn't go exactly according to how they want it to go, they get pissy. The problem, of course, is that a good portion of said people's main exposure to the game of football is Madden. And even though Madden is supposed to be a realistic simulation, it doesn't come close to accurate representation of an NFL game/season/franchise. Is it their fault they don't understand how football really works? No. We can only hope that they will learn with time and that we can do our best as fellow members of the community to help them along in that learning process.

Of course you also just have your control freaks, douche bags and "I'm always righters." And they can just go screw themselves :)

And before someone piles on me for my previous post, you know who I'm talking about and if the shoe fits, wear it. If not then disregard and move on.

I think a lot of people are just trying to find out what is wrong with our offense, and why we can't put any points on the board. I mean I can kind of understand the Bills, their secondary is pretty decent. And the Vikings are no slouches when it comes to their front 7, but in a dome against their secondary was supposed to be a good test for Henne.

I think a lot of people are just nervous given that we haven't had much consistency on Offense, despite our lights out play by our defense.

Nobody is complaining, everyone seems happy to be 2-0 and alone in first place for the first time in a while. It feels good.

People are just asking when the offense will start to score points, because it's a valid question. If we want to keep the wins coming, they'll need to score points. Hopefully it happens Sunday night.

It is good to be 2-0, that being said I dont want it to stop, there are just minor things here that miami has to do, and I believe we all might witness something special here...

For us fans to voice the minor things, and I think we all can agree what those are, I dont think it is a bad thing....The thing is brother, it is close, we can all taste it...at this point we are getting frustrated because we want whats rightfully ours.....

To incoherently say they suck, yeah those people are talking out of their asses, the "I told ya so's" good for you guys here is a gold watch....I think we all can agree on what the overall goal is...

i think everyone is being honest; its a matter of what to dwell on.

the vikings are a good football team, especially in their home opener.

we are a good football team. however, our offense is not overachieving. the people who are freaking out are saying that we can get better, and they are just in a rush to have it already.

nice post. i liked the title it made me laugh after i read this. and all the people responding so mean - message boards are the best.

I can see what you are talking about. I tend to be pretty optimistic even in my frustration. I don't like the fact that the offense isn't doing what I think it should, but I am looking at it like "who cares when you are undefeated." I am a person who will say the Dolphins will go 16-0 until they lose a game. Then I am saying they will go 15-1, 14-2 and so on. As a fan, I want to see explosive offenses and mouth-dropping defenses but I know that it doesn't happen all at once. I want it to because I shout and go crazy:yes:

I know everyone may be frustrated or complaining but I think they are able to get it off their chest by posting threads about it. I could be wrong but that is my take on it. I personally think they will get better as the season goes on. Like in training camp, the defense was doing better first before the offense was. Perhaps that is the case with the offense. It may click in a few weeks or so, who knows but when it happens boy would it be exciting.

Thanks for expressing your comments. I appreciate it:up:

On the first page alone (which represents the most active topics), there's a thread about "what's wrong with our receivers," "blown ref calls," "why Henne has a slow release," "why Miami can't pass effectively," plus several others ranging from an announcer that didn't give us enough credit to statistical breakdowns on why our offense is inefficient.

Last year when we were 0-2 this forum was lit up from people seeking the positives within those games and why we should have won, and so far this year it's the exact opposite. Sure, there's a few mentions of our great defensive efforts here and there, but they seem few and far between.

All I'm saying is that we should be enjoying these victories without being too overcritical of every single blown assignment. The ultimate goal is to win, and if Henne doesn't have to air out 20+ passes in a shootout in order to achieve that then it shouldn't be a problem. The Super Bowl is 4 1/2 months away, and showing little of our offense while grabbing two quick wins is unquestionably a good thing.

    over there
I'm an armchair quarterback during the game.
I like to criticize when I see a bad play.
For instance the two 12 men on the field calls against us and when we had 3 timeouts left,we should have went at least tried to get 3 points instead of laying down before the half.
I think of myself as a passionate Dolphins fan and I have my own reasoning's and right to express my feelings if I don't like something.I have earned that right being a fan for more than 35 years.
Bare with me,I care for my team and because I nitpick at what I see might be wrong at times from my perspective, I don't point out every thing that I see them doing right either. I like the direction of the team and enjoyed what I saw from Nolan and the D.etc,etc......
Maybe it's human nature that a lot of people are more prone to point out the negative issues than the positive? I don't know,I'm like that.
That doesn't make me a better or worse fan than anyone else here.
I want them to be perfect in all phases, that's all.

I understand where you coming from, but you must also really look at these threads your talking about. All of us are happy about the wins, but there is always room for improvement. We know it and the Dolphins know it. The Dolphins are all working hard to get better, and we are dissecting, and critiquing th game to find out what that is. Most of these "negative threads" are really questions from people trying to gain and share perspectives.

Being that this is a forum, your are likely to cross an opinion that you disagree with. So if your disagree with a thread, post your opinion. But starting a thread to hinder the opinions of others, goes against the very principle of a forum(this one especially).

I agree, often though deeper analysis, comes a better understanding of the teams strategic approach to the game, and what may first appear a mistake, can simply be different perspective.

I first read SICK's "Booooooooooooooo" comment as premature for Halloween humor, and consequently assumed an "H" at center, failed to make the play.
Deeper analysis however, determined an "H" wasn't necessary at all, if his intent was instead to swarm to the play, and merely pile onto NJFIN'S post.

Few imo, share perspective as cut and dry as GARDENHEAD's "fart".
