Chat Room Trivia Challenge

Game time is Saturday 4:00PM EST First question will be asked at 4:10PM EST

Once you have done that I need you to put your meebo account name in this thread so I can add you to my friends list on there. That way I can add you to the room when the whole thing goes down.

I'll have the chat room open around 3:30PM EST and will be inviting people as of then.

This challenge is very simple but will take some organizing to get going. I will help with this but it's up to the captains to give me a time they can both agree on.

What will happen is after talking to their teammates the captains will decide when the best time they can have everyone (or as much as they can) on at the same time so we can get into a chat room. I figure doing this Thursday around 10PM EST or around then would sound good but we'll see what everyone's schedule is like. The captains will give me the best time for their team (please be as broad as you can) and I'll finalize a day we're going to do this.

The game itself is very simple. I will post a kind of trivia question in the chat room and the first person to answer it receives a point for their team. First team to 10 points wins.

If AIM gives us any problems we'll find a chat room we can all use.


Part 1: Get ahold of your captains and tell them when you're available. It would be awesome if the captains could have this to me by at least tomorrow but there'll be no exact time limit for this. I will be sending out PM's to every player to make sure they get ahold of their captain.

Part 2 Everyone gets together in the chat room. I will post a kind of trivia question in the chat room and the first person to answer it receives a point for their team. First team to 10 points wins. You may make multiple guesses but please do not spam the board.

meebo seems fine, but i'd rather something we don't have to sign up for (where we can just go in as guests) but if I can't find a chatroom like that we'll go with meebo

What about Saturday? Would give a little break to the game but would probably be a lot more forgiving to each others work schedules. That and we wouldn't have to play at night.

I'm west coast so anything after 9PM eastern would be preferable. As for which day, probably doesn't matter this week, even the weekend should be okay... next week could be a different story.

If I don't get an answer by both teams by tomorrow afternoon I'm going to assume we'll do this thing on Saturday. If it Saturday at least it should be enough time for everyone to plan to be there. I'd think so anyway.

Buffet Busters does tomorrow night work for you guys? Wanna get this setup so we can get maximum participation. Figure a couple people not making it is okay but i'd like to have at least 70-80% from both teams show up.
