So in a Madden simulation, the Jets beat every team on their schedules besides the Saints, Colts, and Ravens... despite having gone 8-8 the year before.
The team with the best rating doesn't always win win you sim a game between them. The Jets went 9-7 last year anyway, plus 2-1 in the playoffs.
I can handle a 79, few wins and first roster update will bump them up. Wake could have a Dumervil like increase if he started and made some noise.
Would like to see Misi and Henne warrant raises as well. hope Brandon Marshall doesn't warrant a downgrade in this run-first offense.
I don't know, I think at the moment in the AFC the Ravens are behind only Indianapolis. All bias aside the Jest are definitely overrated, but I think we know we just have to put up with the hype machine until actual football starts and they get a reality check.
I love it. I personally play offline franchise more than anything (I've been an addict since childhood with this), and I hate going 16-0 at best or at worst 15-1/14-2 every year in franchise mode. Really hope this makes a difference and there will be some struggles down the stretch in the postseason hunt.
If Bradford is worth the #1 overall pick they'll be much better than just one rating point. Don't sweat it. The Jets are slightly overrated, but they made the AFCCG, so it's tough to blame EA. The Ravens, however, are not overrated. They're a very good team that will be even better this coming season.
I love how we spent all of the 2009 offseason complaining about a lack of national media respect even though we won the division title, but refuse in the 2010 offseason to give the Jets any credit for going to the AFCCG. Whatever.
I give the Jets credit but come on D had they not gotten such a lucky break getting both the Colts and Bengals, who both had given up at the end of last year, they would have lost to the Colts and beat the Bengals meaning 8-8 and no playoffs. You can simply base that off of how the Jets performed against both the Colts and Bengals in the playoffs when both teams we're actually trying. I'd argue that if you switched the Jets schedule with Miami's in the last two games and Miami would have made the playoffs (although I think we would have lost to the Chargers). Also if you switched the Jets and Pats playoff opponents last year I think you would have seen the Ravens beat the Jets and the Pats advance to the AFC Championship game. Essentially I am saying the Jets ran into some good luck last year down the stretch and are being overrated as a result. Just think, Ryan had given up on his team and was in tears with just 3 weeks left in the season. I say the Pats are still the team to beat in the AFC East with the Fins and Jets nipping at their heels with the Jets being slightly better than Miami (I love the Jets defense and their addition of Holmes this offseason and also like what Sanchez was doing down the stretch last year). Honestly no more that 2 points should separate Miami and Jets in these rankings. Once again I love the Jets defense and think they are a playoff team but I still think they have several questions as well. I'm not seeing them as the 4th best team in the NFL. Minnesota, Dallas, New England, and San Diego are all ahead of them IMO and I may even throw the Packers and Steelers in there. I'd have the Jets in the 10-12 range and Miami somewhere between 14-16. So see I am giving the Jets respect but not going overboard like a lot of people are over some inflated stats.
Madden 11 Team Ratings released http://www.pastapadre.com/2010/06/04/madden-11-team-ratings-released Soo the Dolphins are a 78 and look this is the funny part The Jets are a 89.......... I just dont understand Madden Sometimes, the Dolphins can go 11-5 be first in the conference last year and only be a 77 but the Jets can go 9-7 2nd in the Division and went to the AFC championship where they got embarrassed and get a 89.... Its Freaking Amazing How they're higher than The Vikings too
He Should be just for the simple fact that hes still under contract, But Most Likely Not I Still believe the Vikings are a better team than the jets either way
