For those of you who have been asking / wondering when Dolphin Survivor 2010 is going to start I was planning on starting it after the Memorial Day Weekend. I came to this decision after looking at the first two years of the game and seeing how long it took and when they started. Last year, even with including the full roster, the game finished way too early, IMO. Ideally, this game is something fun that should keep us busy during the slow summer months. By starting it a month later this year, it should finish right around the end of July and hopefully the preseason should be just getting started.

For those of you wondering what the hell Dolphin Survivor is, click the links in my sig to see how the last two years shook out.

Edited to add: I'm thinking this year I might even send a trophy to the winner.

Trophy would be a cool idea. :hi5:

This will be fun... even more so when the battle lines are drawn and the mafia adopts their guy. :shifty:

I'm glad at least a couple of people are excited about Dolphin Survivor. I guess the fact that this teaser thread isn't getting much action is validation to starting the game later this year. Too much good discussion still going on.

Let's see Ted Ginn was sent for a late round pick

Sparano did not have a good year and was questioned consistently about his game clock mgmt.....If we have another sub .500 year he could be gone

This could be the new Madden curse

Sparano's job will be in jeopardy only when 1. Bill Parcells leaves, and 2. Sparano immediately has a terrible season. Until then, his job is the second-safest head coaching position in the NFL, the first being Mike Tomlin's.

I don't think Ross is going to be as patient as some here might think. If we only win 7-8 games this year, SR might clean house. And I think I would support him in that. We should be able to win 11-12 games with the talent we have and the experienced youth. We have young players who have played alot of football. Thats a great thing. No excuses. Lets go out this year and win the SB.

I agree with you for the most part, but do you really believe Sparano's job is safer than Belichick's? Like I said, I agree with you that he's not on the hot seat this year, but there are at least a handful of head coaches in this league whose jobs are much safer. There is no possible way his job is safer than Sean Payton's. A few other's whose jobs that are probably safer include Jim Caldwell, Ken Whisenhunt (sp?), John Harbaugh, just off the top of my head.

I forgot I changed it to the final post of the game. Click in the upper right corner of those posts to view the entire thread. I think if you start at the first post it might help make some more sense. Maybe not. It's real easy though.

    YES

The Ted Ginn Mafia will rise again! ... somehow

also, if B. Marshall wins this thing I'm a puke. At least Ted Ginn had a couple touchdowns by the time the mafia backed him. all Marshall has done so far is take money from the team. I need a return on investment before i vote for him!

Marshall hasn't lost any games for us yet, gotta look at it like that.

I'm kidding. I watched the Jets game, I don't want to start that.

    Live from the Internet.
    Honestly, Jake should win.
The most consistent player on the team. Started every single snap on offense last year.
I love Ronnie as much as the next guy...but he can't stay healthy. Hell, we don't even know if he will be on the team next year. Henne still has something to prove. Ginn should break out this sea....wait, wat?
Big Jake will be getting my votes this year.

I laughed at you then, and I will laugh at you now for making Ted Ginn Jr the winner of the 08 Survivor.

I disagree with everything...12 wins are pretty lofty expectations, and the firing of Bill Parcells by ross would be a huge mistake by a man with no football backround..
