If it's not extremely rare or old (poker chips are usually neither), it ain't worth more than the actual value of the chip. Sorry bud. EDIT: Also, since it's printed with a .5, my guess is it's their equivalent to a half dollar chip. The Swiss dollar is on par with the American dollar, so it's probably worht about 50 cents.
Not sure about SWISS and if fraction of Dollar/Franc are actually used inside Casino's....obviously that is not used in US at tables (only $1 denominations are used in our chips). I am not sure what COLOR that SWISS chip would be considered based on light blue around the edge (what players would see visibly in the stack) or because of the Red ring, and dominant white center. The .5 is throwing me. Could be 1/2 of a Franc...could be 1/20th of a Franc....could be 5 Franc's.....very weird. Traditionally within US Casino's the chips and color are as follows: In many areas, however, chip denominations are commonly as follows: White: $1 Red: $5 Blue: $10 Green: $25 Black: $100 Purple: $500 Burgundy: $1,000 Light blue: $2,000 Brown: $5,000 The name on the chip is the CASINO....http://www.worldcasinodirectory.com/casino/casino-z-richsee-1657 Casino Zürichsee Pfaffikon, Switzerland Send them an email with the picture and ask them...??? I never expected it to be a lot of money I'm just curious. Found it geocaching. Wondering if it was a 1 or 5$ chip
