    Questions:

What is the difference between dead money and a cap hit? or are they the same?

Also what was the cap hit when we traded Chambers? Is there any dead money carried to this season?

If we kept Chambers what would his impact on the salary cap be this season?

Sorry, just trying to understand it all.

I'll take a shot at some of that:
Dead money is the cap charge for a player no longer on your roster, ie carried into future years.

A cap hit is any money charged against the salary cap, usually this term is used when releasing a player.

The numbers you'll have to wait on an expert though.

I believe Penn. gets more money for winning at KC so now we must pay him more.
