How about #26 overall and we call it a day?

it just sounds like to me that the Jags will make an offer for JT on draft day. these is the third rumor from the Jags about JT. His name has been mentioned a lot lately in trade rumors

Given that Jacksonville's picks are lower in the rounds, I'd really like to see us go after a second and third, or even some combo like a first and a fourth. That's not too steep a price to pay for a guy that's a year removed from being Defensive Player of the Year. It'd be a good match for JT as well, as he really won't have to uproot and move anywhere. All of that said, I don't see us making a deal before the draft unfolds.

    ^^ x2

It's time to load up on draft picks for pretty much the first time in franchise history. Out with the old and in with the new, with Chris Long anchoring the new look defense.

He can't say anything. If he answered that kind of question, he'd be guilty of tampering.

If you trade Taylor before the draft then you loose leverage in trying to trade the 1st overall because everyone will know C. Long will be J.T.'s replacement. If it's gonna go down, it will be during the draft somewhere around mid 1st round to early 2nd round. JMO

Any combo of the picks works for me. Good for JT, good for the Jags, and good for us - we need the draft picks/youth.

If we get their 1st don't look for any other draft pick to comeback to us with it. IMO a 2nd and a 4th could be the best we could expect. He will be 34 at the start of next season and will soon be on the decline. Let me ask you this say you were a fan of the Jags with no emotional attachment to JT, would you be happy to be giving up your 1st and 4th for a 34 year old player soon to be in decline?

No way. I probably wouldn't be too happy about giving up a first either. They can get a pretty good player in the draft there. But as a Fins fan, I would be all over that #26 if they offered it.
