lol how overrated is lil wayne? quite a bit but he does have some good stuff. Ludacris and BunB are other good southern rappers.

Lol we totally disagree. I think his lyrics are sick and like I said earlier, hes the only musician I listen to and have for the past 5(?) months.

A question (if this is the right place for it) but back in the day, (20 yrs ago) there was a guy named DC Skorpio, and he had a song named "Hustler" not the Ice T "New Jack Hustler" this was a different thing, does anyone know where I could find that track?

 

his lyrics are garbage that whole style he has is terrible. He thinks hes a god. And i cant remember last time I heard as song from him that was good

Btw, Sky is the Limit is a good song from Weezy. He took it from Mike Jones and made it even better but then again, that is my opinion.

 

Lol I dont like Fireman. The song "Best Rapper Alive" is a really good song imo as is New Orleans from the Suffix. Not gonna lie though, they could be so much better with Mannie's beats.

 

Right now not much. Cuz the music out is whack fooweeee, So for me its some old Lox, Jay, Biggie and I try to find something new but rap is crap right now

Hate to say, but "yeah" Urban stuff is pretty crappy at the moment, it's formulaic and played out.

Rap has always found a way to save itself though.

Jay-z, some 50 cent, Biggy, Kanye's first two cds (his newest was awful aside from flashing lights), some Outkast, Alot of garbage out there, usually just people that have one great song and a **** album.

 

lil wayne is hands down my favorite rapper

some of my other favorites include...Ludacris, T.I., Eminem, Young Jeezy. Also Akon and Three 6 Mafia.

Luda has a CD comin out in the fall
T.I. has paper trail dropping in Sept
Three 6 Mafia - Last to walk in june
Eminem is suppose to be a dropin a CD in the summer
Also Detox is suppose to drop in June and Ice Cube has a new album called Raw Footage supposedly dropping in the summer.

But deffinetly Lil Waynes Carter 3 should be the hottest CD of the year(im praying)

 

Nice. I like Jay Z's old songs. I can't stand 50 aside from his Get Rich or Die Tryin album. Not a fan of Outkast anymore lol. I agree that theres a lot of garbage out there. I just like Lil Wayne out of everybody, I for some reason love his songs/lyrics.

 

I forgot to mention the ones in bold. My favorite group ever is three six as well as big tymers.

Eminem is one bad white boy lol. Didn't know that he might be droppin a CD. I thought he was going to retire? Also, theres rumors that he might if he hasn't already lose custody of his daughter and if that happens/happend, he will go crazy imo. I am a fan of his Marshall Mathers LP album, not too big of a fan of his latest stuff.

 

50's new cd was terrible but most of his stuff is decent (the Get Rich or Die Tryin soundtrack was good), Outkast is good most of the time. Andre 3000 is one of the best out there right now.

 

I dont like Outkast at all anymore lol I did when I was younger but not anymore. I haven't heard anything about Andre 3000. Is he really that good?

 

I dont understand 3-6s appeal. Their beats are alright but lyrically they seem horrible. Southern rap is real far behind imo.

 

Go download International Players Anthem w/UGK , youll like Outkast again after that.

I am mostly a fan of older rap music. Like 36 Mafia, I like their old music. The only song I really actually like that is kinda new is Dope Boy Fresh.

 

Just DL Fabolous' mixtape There Is No Competition and I recommend everyone here downloading it some of the better rap I have heard in a while.

the AZ leaked(PM me for a link), i listened to it last night but i really dont remember much. its AZ and his flow is serious, and he never put out a bad album..

i do not like lil wayne. i used to before everyone and their mama's jumped on his dick...i guess you could say i like more "backpack" rap....i like it when the song has meaning...and i think hip hop is dead except for a few rapppers like lupe fiasco, and joe budden
