Just read that on the Orland Sentinel. Sounds like it was a drunk driving accident. one car accident, 2:30 AM, driving less than 33 mph and hit a fire hydrant? Something's up.

Terrible news hopefully he'll be ok. According to ESPN.com's story the police said alochol wasn't involved, so who knows. Does sound strange though.

EDIT: Word going around that Tiger's agent is saying he's fine.

Why is it being reported serious if he has been released already? Someone is wrong, I guess the media is

Because it's a slow news day and a headline of "Tiger in car accident, is fine" isn't sexy enough.

CBS just reported his agent as saying he is fine but when Woods was contacted he responded no comment.

The thread starter dropped the ball on the title. He was never in serious condition just listed as serious injuries which are completely different things. They said he might have had some facial lacerations or something like that would be considered a serious injury but nothing life threatening.

Pay more attention to details. :wink2:

It's not the thread starters fault. Its been reported everywhere that he was in serious condition, they are just posting what they heard or read

Thankfully recent reports are saying he's ok and has been released from hospital.

My spider senses are telling me roadhead was involved here. Airbags did not deploy (indicating driving at slow speed), one car involved and no alcohol (which I doubt) - it's kinda obvious. He was getting his putter shined.

Okay so Tiger is leaving at 2:30 AM, he gets in a minor accident and has some facial cuts. His wife used a golf club to break out the rear window and is found standing over him when the police arrive.
Being a FinFan makes me smell something fishy.

It's become kind of a weird story. Woods avoiding the police as is his right because it's a traffic accident- apparently he can delay talking to the police. Low speed accident with apparently no alcohol involved. His wife bashing in a car window with a golf club. And now reports that Woods was having an affair. Maybe the missus was chasing Tiger out of the house with a golf club and he wasn't concentrating while driving and ran into a tree. Who knows, it's a strange situation.

Not if they suspect domestic abuse was involved, then I believe they have ever right to ask questions. Don't know this for a fact but just going by common sense.

eh, he's pulled out of his golf tournament but I'm going anyway, for the first time, I live really close to the golf course. I almost became a caddy there way back when but they wanted me to cut my long hair that I had. pssshaw...

That video is classic. The girl is upset she was made to be a "complete fool" on a reality show. And then she comes with this after selling her texts and voicemails with him to US Weekly.

Disappointing is all I can say. Not even Tiger is above it.

But he's right. The only reason why this story is even getting attention because it happened to Tiger Woods.

Does Tiger have a prenuptial? LMAO he better or else Mrs. Woods is getting half a billion dollars.

The only pro-athlete I would be shocked if I found out they were cheating on their wife would be Peyton Manning. Beyond that, not to surprising.

You feel bad for Tiger? Seriously? I feel bad for the real victims in this whole situation, his wife Elin and the two kids.

Tiger made his bed, now he has to lay in it.

I honestly don't care about what happened. It's disappointing, but I agree with JT; it's none of our business. I don't care much about celebs or their personal lives. Being rich would be nice, but I couldn't live that life (in the public eye and no privacy).

What he did was wrong, but we shouldn't even have learned about it. The fact that it being covered is the norm speaks to the state of our society in general.

He got rich because of the public and the media so personally I think his right to complete privacy is waived. Many professional athletes know this and they either choose to accept it or they try getting away with things and fail.

Tiger is the reason I picked up golf and I'm sure he was the inspiration for millions of people to even try the game that normally wouldn't have. I truly didn't think he would have done something like this. He seemed to have the personality to be the absolute best at everything he did and it seemed like he was doing it the right way. He does act like a child sometimes on tv, but I didn't think he would be capable of something like this.

Oh well, disappointment is all I really have and I do hope his family is able to recover and move on.

So, going by that logic, because your boss is signing your paycheck, he/she should the right to know what's going on in your personal life?

I'm an everyday Joe doing peasants work. He's a worldwide phenom that relies on millions to buy his product. It's not exactly the same situation. Sure it's work, but he's doing work that puts him front and center in the limelight. He single handedly created the payouts that golfers get now, he is responsible for generating a buzz about the sport, he peddles Nike products and Gatorade and Buicks. Celebrities want the attention which is why they become so. Some want less than others but if they didn't want it they wouldn't do what they do.

I don't agree with prying into their lives and I don't hang on every word any of them say. But when you're getting paid millions of dollars FROM the media and the people asking why, then I don't feel the least bit sorry when something goes down the toilet for them and people want answers.

Um, no he's not. He's getting paid from companies that he is affiliated. He doesn't get paid for articles written on him.

And as far as I'm concerned, unless the media relatives of Tiger and/or his wife, or, at the very least, a very close friend of them, they don't need to know crap!

Media coverage is part of his job. He knew full well what he was getting into. If he didn't want to be front and center he could have done something else. Also, if no one bought Tiger Woods shirts, Tiger Woods golf shoes and Tiger Woods clubs they wouldn't be made and he wouldn't be a spokesman for them.

The media has been the way they are today for a number of years. They'll give you all the attention you want and give you millions, but the minute you screw up or act like a dirtbag they have no problem cutting you down and try to make you lose everything. That's THEIR job whether it's right or wrong.

You're right, it isn't anyones business to know every detail of his private life. I'm just saying I don't feel bad for him when he's a dirtbag and the media, that made him larger than life and gave him a huge following, wants to drag his name through the mud.
