This is a great reference point for those of us looking ahead to the future of the Phins. Thanks Clump.
Clump, you are without a doubt the #1 bills fan in my book..and I do work with a guy who grew up Buffalo and is pretty die-hard fan....oh yeah, and a pretty good guy too...
Damn, would be nice to be 100mil under right now as we will be in 2010. We could buy the whole draft then and give the Pats and jets what we wanted them to have !!!
Ryan TE 2008 $655,000 So you're saying we should draft Matt Ryan as a tight end, and force him to sign a really small one year deal because he sucks at TE. Then next year, after we ruin his rookie season at TE. We convince Matt Ryan, and the rest of the NFL that Ryan is a horrible bust. He'll only get lowball offers, and we resign him to a long term deal and then convert him back to QB. It's pure genius! Thanks Clumpy! I knew you Bills fans weren't all bad.
Clump, please explain to me about the bonuses again. I thought rule on bonuses to be allowed to be spread over 4 yrs max and not the life of the contract.
Hey Clump...how difficult would it be to add a column or two to your spreadsheet and put in a "cap hit if traded or cut" column ?? Problem is for most of us, even tho you and others explain this info to us all the time, it doesn't seem to stick too well...I'm sure it's just a macro you could come up with, but it might keep idiots like me from asking what the cap hit of cutting or trading (insert player name here) would be ?? I don't know how difficult it would be to come up with that, but let us idiots know...thanks...
