Just curious if anyone knows of any teams/leagues for those over 18 in the South Florida area. I really want to get into playing again, doesn't matter if it requires a try out or if it's recreational. Hopefully in the Hollywood area. Thanks in advance. I did some google work but so far am coming up empty.
Google search semi pro....or minor league football teams in south florida, i guarentee you'll find something.
This was gonna be my suggestion too. Lots of semi-pro teams in FL back in the day, don't know about now.
Running into the problem of it seeming like all the next try outs are for 2010. A full year away....like taking place next october. I was hoping for something more immediate. Pickup game anyone?
I play receiver so yes. Sadly I'm not any faster than anyone on our team, probably slower (a bit out of shape right now) but hey I dont drop the ball! Come on Sparano pick me!
Thanks Sick I used YOUR search tags and got a lot better results. Emailed two teams. One got back to me, said give them a call tomorrow, they are still holding try outs. Waiting on the other. Now off to the workout/exercise forum!
Man I knew SOMEONE was going to bring Juan up. Sadly Juan runs a mythical 2.4 forty yard dash. I cant match that.

If teams aren't playing until next year then make sure you take the time to work out and get that speed up. Every year you play you'll see improvement that's for damn sure. Do some research on teams and see what's local and if they're worth anything. With any luck you'll find a team that's perfect for you. You're tryin to pad up right? Practices for me started back up last Saturday I'm pretty stoked. Going to be my 6th year damn the time sure does fly lol.
