We all know how we had not seen much of Fasano till week one. Well, Fasano has been busy along with Haynos. That is because both are having an incredible season blocking. Fasano this year has looked great blocking and Haynos laid a clinic on Pace against the Jets. Check out this site: http://www.profootballfocus.com/by_...&pos=TE&stype=r&runpass=&teamid=-1&numgames=1
Polite, Grove, Long (not great but good), Carey and Williams have been outstanding overall. Bess is also in that group surprisingly. Smiley has been our weakest linemen, which is a bit strange but he's certainly still solid.
Just goes to show that stats sometimes don't tell the whole story. I'm pretty disappointed in our TE group at this point. It's great that they can block, but it only magnifies the fact that they, as a group without Martin, are one-dimensional. Funny how guys like Witten, Gates and Clark are high up on the list and yet, make other teams game plan against them due to their pass-catching ability. We need a little more talent spread across the TE spectrum, namely more pass catching ability and steady blocking...we just don't have that with either of these guys...
what about that nalbone kid we got this year. isnt he a tight end. he is from the same school parcells picked miles austin out of. where is this guy at?
