Man, that's sad. But, his career isn't over yet. Many Qbs came from the Canadian League and becamce successful in the NFL.

He can probably make a good living in the CFL, maybe better than being a 3rd string Qb in the NFL anyways. A lot of guys would be better off going to the CFL and actually playing than hanging around the NFL with a clip board.

Hmmm on paper it does but he lacks arm strength and I doubt he will be playing in the CFL any time soon.

    Interesting

Seems like there were a handful in here that had this kid winning the heisman and being the best Pro prospect in the draft :shifty:

Anywho, I have had a little visibility to this kid here in Dallas. Nothing but an absolute Class act. He has taken this all in stride foer the most part.
I also hope the CFL does him good, and who knows, he could still end up being a solid NFL QB somewhere down the road

If he gets some time to play, he could prove a point if he keeps working hard. After a year or two playing up here, he might earn himself another look in the NFL. Worked for Cam Wake..

Yep, and the CFL with Wr in motion before the snap is a good place for Harrel to show what he can do.

I "know" the CFL get's bagged on, but after watching countless hours of CFL 5 minute highlight clips, it's not "terrible" football, it is very different from the NFL though.

yup, you're right. its not terrible. I've seen some damn entertaining games watching some CFL football. Sure its not the level of talent the NFL has to offer, but its nice as a developmental league for NFL guys. Im actually surprised the bond between the two leagues isnt stronger. With the disappearance of NFLEurope... why not try and use the CFL as more of a developmental thing for the NFL...

NFL fans would be surprised at "who" played in the CFL and are now upper tier players in the NFL, or fillin guys, OJ Otagawe and Joey Thomas are both ex CFLers.

As for the talent level, maybe, it's a different game like euro basketball used to be, a different skill set is required to be successful in the CFL.

BTW, Cam Wake in an interview mentioned that some CFL games are played in -30, and that is 'F not celsious...wow...

But some skills do transfer, ball security, clock management, leadership, a feel for the pass rush, on Defense, it's a different story for the secondaries.

BTW, one innovation that came from the CFL into the NFL is fielding missed field goals and returning them like a punt, when the Bears ST guys, Vasher and Thomas returned missed FG for a TD in back to back seasons, that was straight out of the CFL playbook.
