I watched 10 minutes of one episode. I hate "reality" T.V. with a passion. REAL reality T.V. is a science, history or current event documentary or a news broadcast. Pre-staged scenarios in exotic locations with people that are freaks or attention whores is not real. That said, Hells Kitchen is must see for me.
My buddy is a cook at a deli near my school, its called High Roller Deli, and he is an amazing cook... He is auditioning for next seasons, he has already been on Food network channel, im hoping he makes it next season, he is really creative with what he cooks, so i think he could do a great job
Dude got the skunk eye! I never got into hells kitchen. Before that series I caught a few episodes of his BBC one about 2 or 3 years back. It was very entertaining but never got into it. I think I liked the different country and their accents more hah. Dude's a prick but I must say, he gets it done. but I stay away from all reality tv like the plague, as unified does. I hate that Food Network (which I used to watch religiously when it was a food channel still) has turned into MTV with their numerous reality shows.
Last year my home towm boy won. If you ever get a chance to go to New Smyrna Beach, you have to go to his restaurant. Called Flip Flops. It's near the beach. Great stuff.
Hes not a prick actually - more like a drill sergeant than anything which imo is what makes it fun to watch. Hes actually a pretty nice guy when its all said and done, he just wants his people to be the best.
You are right bro. His reputation is at stake, and he wants to make sure he picks the very best candidate that won't let him down.
Ramsay is such an over-the-top jackass that you have to love him. I'm definitely watching tonight. T.V. gold, Hell's Kitchen.
The bit with Louie in hour 1 seemed set up to me. Especially with Robert there and ended up getting back on the show by taking his spot. Either way so far so good! The women look pretty weak.
you really like that kick in the nuts smiley don't you? i dunno the whole "i'm going to be over the top and scream all the time because I'm on television" doesn't really do much for me. last time i'm posting in a thread in which i don't watch the show. no sense in ruining it for those that like it. enjoy the show guys.
You can be the first two, without being the last one though, no? That said I like the guy. but he's still sort of a prick
Louie was gone when he brought up Biscuits and Gravy for his dish. At least the one girl brought up Tequila Shots with her French Toast lol
I'm just glad the chick with the fish mouth and weird eyes is gone. She had plasitc surgery that made it so she always looked surprised...
the show is now just like every other "reality" show. if this was a real contest, 95% of these contestants would never make it on here whats with these guys trying to start fights? pretty fake and lame
Its not fake at all these people are actually trying there hardest for a very well paid Executive Chef's job
oh really? guys who are competent and trying really hard to get a job are going to back talk and threaten to beat up managers and owners? give me a break maybe 6 six people were screened and made it on the show because they are qualified and might have a chance. everyone else is for theatrics and staged drama
I liked how the big(fat) dude was invited back on the show and then......... He get's switched over to the women's side. I'm sure the ladies are starting to realize he ain't worth a crap by the next episode.Whoopie will start taking over the kitchen and all hell will break loose. The only one I'm not liking so far is the one from Texas.Too arrogant and really seems like a know-it-all prick---ster.
What's with this guy trying to start a fight at the end of the show? I've always enjoyed this show but this looks staged. Get these idiots out of here. And this guy is supposed to be ex-military. How embarrassing. If these punks are supposed to be some kind of new angle I don't think I particularly like it. They need to get this off the show or I might not make it through this season. I know a few people are there for drama and comic relief [Lacy is a good example from last season] but this is a bit over the top for a show about cooking and running a restaurant. Change the name to Jerry Springer's kitchen.
if he honestly think he is going to get a job acting like that, he is crazy....no one is going to want to work for him or have him work the them...i think if it was stage, then Joseph would have been here a lot longer to add that drama
It was hard to believe that a real person could act like such an idiot but seeing how quickly he was kicked out of there you kind of come to the conclusion that it wasn't staged. You would think a supposed former Marine would be more disciplined and understand what is going on in this situation, the way Ramsey yells and intentionally stresses them is not unsimilar to certain military training enviroments. Good riddance either way.
Last nights show was great. Robert made me laugh. Looks like Robert is going back to the hospital next week again. I wish him well in life. Hopefully he can't get some help from the Doc's but he needs to help himself, and shed those pounds or that right there will kill him.
