Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers
This game just came out on XBL today for 800pts. I am not sure who here is a fan of Magic or not, I know I wasn't as into it as my brother was growing up. In fact, I probably haven't even played it since I was 12 or so.
But anyway, this game seems like a great introduction for anyone looking to learn how to play, especially with the real good tutorial level that they have.
I assume they'll be coming out with expansions to the game so as to diversify decks more.

Wow. Haven't played this since gradeschool, but loved it. I'd still play it if it was possible to do and still see women naked from time to time.
Knew there was a thread about Magic the Gathering somewhere on here. Does anyone actually play this? I was thinking of giving it a spin. Just found all my old cards at my dad's house. Holy **** some of these are worth $$$$.
I play the video game and physical version from time to time. I don't have many local friends though and don't usually go to FNM, so it's not often I get to play.
If you want to get the video game version, just wait, because the 2013 game comes out later this month I think.

I play the video game version because I don't want to invest the money and time into playing the physical version.
I had two roommates who played competitively but I moved out... now I just have a roommate who plays D&D. I sure do know how to pick'em.
I play on PS3.
Sounds like I'll wait for the 2013 version then. I've been playing the physical version a little bit. I feel ultra nerdy doing it, but I forgot how much fun / addicting it was. Getting taken to school though since today's cards are so much more powerful than when I played.
Anybody playing 2013 yet? I think I'm going to get it tomorrow. Hit me up with usernames if anyone wants to play. Mine is Phins handle on both PS3 and Xbox, but I'll grab this on Xbox.

I downloaded it but haven't played it yet. I'll probably put some time in the game tomorrow.
This game is fun, but there appear to be bugs and flaws to the combat system, unless I'm doing in wrong. I can't figure out how to activate a cards abilities during combat. For example, blocking a creature with Torch Fiend and can't sacrifice to destroy an artifact. Am I doing it wrong?
