At least, according to the Sun-Sentinel. Some real classics, and some I'd never heard before now:

    My two favs:

    8. "Go at the rookie!" - Bernie Kosar from the sideline into the helmet headset of Dan Marino, telling him to throw the infamous "Clock Play" at New York Jets rookie Aaron Glenn

    3. "Now when I go to the bathroom I find out who my friends are." - Jake Scott after both broken hands were in casts following the 1972 season

i noticed one mistake in there. The quote that kuch said that JT retailiated to was not during our 1-15 season. That was when we went 6-10 in Sabans last year with us.

"Joe Montana was part of a system. Dan Marino was a system." -Bill Walsh

I quote this to my friends every time I get in an argument about Marino.

    32. "Dammit! How many times have I told you?" - Jimmy Johnson, throwing a portable television at offensive coordinator Gary Stevens on the flight back from the New England playoff loss in 1997 after watching the video and seeing the Patriots had stolen the Dolphins' calls (from former scouting director Bob Ackles' autobiography, The Water Boy)

DAMN NEW ENGLAND PUT THE TAPES DOWN

    edit:

    30. "With Larry Shannon coming to our football team, by the way, he's probably a step faster than Randy Moss. So he's bigger, he's taller, he's faster. Sometimes everybody gets all carried away, for instance, with Moss and I don't want to be talking about somebody else's player. I'm just going to make an example. Some of these people get so carried away. I'd like to pull them aside and say, how many films did you grade in coming to your evaluation?' - Jimmy Johnson after passing on Moss in the 1998 draft

Was this really said? I hear it all the time but never found any quote or citation or reliable reference.

I'd love to use it more, but I'm afraid it's like Albert Einstein and compound interest being the most powerful force in the universe, or Bill Gates and "nobody will ever need more than 640k ram"

    Urban legends but not true.

I once watched an ESPN special on "being in the zone". They had all kinds of players talking about how in certain games, they felt like the basket was the size of a hula-hoop, or that on one Sunday, they couldn't be tackled, etc. Then, they asked Danny to tell a story about being the zone, to which he replied (I'm paraphrasing):

I was in the zone for 10 years!

I'm not completely sure but this guy says that he looked it up and it's true. I'm not sure why he would lie since he's a Lions fan.
