2008 295000.00 2009 8500000.00 2010 11000000.00 2011 12000000.00 2012 12000000.00 2013 10750000.00 (voidable) One of the main reasons I have not posted the cap page is I've been waiting for more information about Jake Long's rookie deal. Well, I checked last night and again this morning. Yesterday, he had a $3.75 million salary for 2009...now it's $8.5 million. He obviously had some incentives LOL with his 2008 cap number at $3 million, I calculated that he rec'd a $3.87 million signing bonus (amortized at $645,000/yr for 6 yrs) and also a $2.06 million roster bonus with his $295,000 salary Total all these numbers and we get $49.725 million. This number contains NO other bonus money. Still working on more info Cap page in the next few days
edited to subtract the voidable yr reported 5 yr - $57.5 million deal $57.5 million - $49.08 million = $7.775 million that I need to find out aboot!
are you talking about a cap page with all the new signings as well ? i.e. wilson, grove, berger, new crowder, bell and carey deals ???
Check again Clumpy. Its now listed a 6.5 million for 2009. Also, I read that Jake Long had NO signing bonus in his contract.
Same with Ronnie Brown and Jason Allen. I think you had them both with signing bonuses on your 2008 cap page. I guessed at their signing bonus based on the base salaries from NFLPA and the cap hit's that both players were going to count for from a few sources but I was wrong.
According to Harvey on the SS, Jake got some more $$: Check out the bumps 2009 - $3.75 $6.5 M 2010 - $4.5 to $9M 2011 - $5.25 to $10M 2012 - $6 to 10M 2013 $6.75 to $10.75M http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_football_dolphins/ Nice work if you can get it. Anyone know why?
Why he received the bump? Because he received a bonus based on playing 16 games last year and making the Pro Bowl.
Nice bump. 50% pay raise or so. I knew he got a bonus for the PB and for playing time, but that's a lot more than I thought it was.
they made the right decision to first invest in the offensive line you usually get what you pay for... you have to step up & go for it agree w/ Friend GardenHead: Jake Long w/ an excellent investment the Dolphins will ride the backs of the Orca-5 into the SuperBowl
Ditto. Guy played with 1 arm and still out played most other lineman in the NFL. Did he get off season Surgery? Didn't hear anything.
