When I read on-line how Salguero graded the game for the Miami Herald. I did a serious head shake and wondered what game he watched? Here is the Comparison: Herald Phinishers (A Salguero) (M Fraser) QB A B- RB A B+ WR/TE C+ WR: A- TE: C OL C- C- DL A B+ LB A B+ DB A CB: B+ S: B- ST D F Coaching B+ B Overall B+ C As you can see a big difference. Now I did not know that Pennington's radio helmet was not working on the winning drive, and I probably rated him too low. Salguero did not properly appeciate the run blocking by the wide recievers. Ronnie Brown's fumble prevented me from giving the running backs an A. I felt that the defense was good, but outstanding. But you wonder about Salguero's judgement on actual football action.
Salguero sucks but you are wrong about the defense...... The Dolphins Defense limited the Raiders to 6 points. That is 3 points less than what the Dolphins offense and special teams combined to give them. How could the defense not average out to an "A" giving up less than a touchdown in 60 minutes of football?
I agree. The D kept up it's part of the bargain. Don't let the overall score let you think the D didn't show up.
