Reboot your DSL/cable modem, restart your 360 and any routers/adapters being used just as a precaution.

Probably. Seems like it's another issue if it's not the actual internet connection that's at fault. Do a diagnostic on the 360.

Whoops, sorry. Meant test connection under network settings. If everything's all in the clear then the issue is likely on Microsoft's end or for some reason your router/modem has some miscommunication between all the services and a quick power reboot should fix it.

Yeah everything is fine but the NAT settings is Moderate could that be the issue?

Btw Power reboot with the Router?

That could be why. It should say open. Devices have strict or moderate NAT can limit Xbox Live and communication with other players. Try the whole power reboot deal and see if it still shows moderate. If it does after that, then try hooking it up with wired if possible and if it still shows up let me know so I can find something else to work with.

Power reboot is basically unplugging the power cord from the router, wait for a minute, and plugging cord back in. It refreshes it. Same goes for a cable/dsl modem.

I have seen this happen before when you try and add it on your 360. Might try adding it with your windows live login from a PC.

Live is sometimes just screwy about adding these codes, they work sooner or later though.

My router is to far way. Currently I have the ethernet cord running from my 360 to my laptop, from there I have the wireless from my laptop picking up the signal from the wireless router.

From what Ive read is that my signal strength will not be great because its sharing with my laptop and that it kinda times out trying to access the Marketplace or what not.

Going to have to call them sooner or later. But I'm afraid once I say I'm using a lap top as a hub their going to say "oh well just pick up the Wireless adapter and that should fix it"

Don't have a TV close enough to my router to do that.

Tomorrow morning I'm going to move the wireless router where my 360 is and see if anything changes, if nothing does I have no idea what the problem is.

Use the E-Mail address and password you used when you first set up your profile on your 360. Once you login you should be able to add your live code from one of the menus there. If you have never registered a live account and need to set up one for the first time you can do that as well.

Once you get the new gamertag set up you can add your live card and then recover the account to your 360 I would imagin.

Probably time to call M$ because I think it may be your Live ID. If you get a new one, you'll probably need to do some loops to reinstate your original gamertag.

Not quite, you create a new gamertag, add your live card and then recover the gamertag to your 360. When you first turn on your 360 it probably signs into a user-name automatically. You would need to log out and then instead of loggin back in select "recover gamertag from x box live". You will then have type in the username that you just created and use the email address and password that you gave live when you set up your new gamertag.

Should be set after that..... I think.
