    "I'm amazed he is something"

The first thing the commentator said after Williams' first run. The guy is truly a superior athlete.

sweet! Henne's passes looked pretty damn good in those highlights. Ricky, also very impressive! Definately two very positive things for us moving forward.

Henne had some serious heat behind those throws.

Henne is always good for that. He definitely has a strong arm. Thats one thing I was always impressed with when watching him at Michigan. That and his leadership and toughness. The speed on those throws was great. Too bad wilford couldnt hang onto the two thrown his way... Again, as I've said earlier tonight, I really hope Henne gets a shot with the first team next week. Id love to see what he does with our best guys on the field, against their best guys. Im starting to be impressed with him at the NFL level now... but if he performed well against a first team D, then I'd really be impressed, we may really have ourselves a replacement for Marino.

Agreed I hope Henne does start with the first team next week but I think Pennington will, he is going to need to get accustomed to his teammates and the playbook on the field. I saw a few Michigan games and his arm was always strong and like you said he is very tough.

On another note Wilford really needs to get his act together.

yeah, I agree with Pennington maybe needing to start with the 1st team over Henne. At this point i think its clear that pennington will be our starter. I guess I just really want proof that Henne is, what it appears he may be quickly developing into.

Yes Wilford... I was really excited about him coming here... Now im pretty disappointed.. I dont know what his deal is, but I sure hope he comes around. We're going to need him especially given how shallow our WR's are

If anything I think Pennington plays most of the 1st quarter and is then followed up with Henne with Beck after him.

It is disappointing that Wilford is playing so poorly because he has the tools to become a good receiver in this league. He certainly has the size if only he could catch the ball.lol

It would be nie to see Wilford have a bit more speed too though. The fact he is dropping so many balls though is definately a big concern.

Id still rather see Henne start with the first team. I think its just because i want something proven to me though that he is going to be as good as i think he's going to be. It does make the most sense for the team though that Pennington does get the time with the first team to try and develop some chemistry with them ASAP.

All I want is for Chad Henne to get his time and for Pennington to last as long as possible, preferably the full year (unless he's that bad...).

Henne needs to come on as a sophomore. Can't have him mentally scarred, he's your best hope for a long-term QB in YEARS.

There may be a good reason why the Jaguars released him.He has been hampered by injuries and may not be the same player anymore although that doesnt explain why he has been dropping so many balls.

Maybe he has become gunshy and is hearing footsteps :wink2:

I was so pumped watching Ricky run the way he did.
