saw that. A very good choice. He became a us citizen just last year and seems to be very proud.

    Excellent. Glad to hear it.

I saw his story on the last Real Sports on HBO (the one with Parcells). His life's tale is nothing short of incredible. I REALLY hope he wins gold.

It wasn't only that he was poor.

He was kidnapped at age 6 by Sudanese rebel soldiers along with all the other children in his village He was one of the few that survived imprisonment (most kids died of dysentery and the like, in the cell right there with him). After about 2 weeks, he and a few other kids escaped and ran 40 miles (the wrong way) and ended up in Kenya.

He basically lived the next 10 years in a Kenyan refugee camp, assuming his family had died that day in Sudan. He had nothing. The folks in the video adopted him and brought him to live in America.

His family is alive in Kenya. HBO took him back there to reunite with is mother (after 16 years), and violence broke out at the same time. He got caught in it and nearly didn't make it back.

    What a life he's lived.
