SEATTLE - Seattle's five problem-plagued public toilets could be yours if you're flush. 5 Mil for toilets?I would love to sell the city of seattle some ocean front property in arizona. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25721700/
That sucks. The city needs more public toilets not less. So annoying to need to pee and have to do it in the streets
it's still stupid to sell them. put a camera on the outside to show who goes in, takes care of the prostitution problem.
Look at the top of the hand dryer. http://cgi.ebay.com/Hering-Bau-WCma...hash=item170240609824&_trksid=p3286.m14.l1318
i've actually used these before... i think they kick ***, and are hella convenient. the problem is the homeless people freakin LIVE in them as they are not patrolled and are so nice. Seattle also puts them in the absolute ****tiest parts of town too. The one pictured there (above) is in Pioneer Square area, which is where ALL the homeless congregate. It is right outside of my favorite nightclub, and unfortunately there is no business really around there.... just some nightclubs in a shady part of town. WHY seattle put it there, i have NO idea. The project failed because of poor planning, not because of the toilets or investments. too bad, i really liked them.
I've never been to Seattle, but I was thinking exactly what you just said. Usually, that element of person hangs out on the worst side of town. So why the city of Seattle put them there, and not the courthouse side or business district is beyond me.As far as patrolling them, how long would it take for a cop to get out of a cop car? Maybe they are afraid of that side of town...
